Monster Fundraiser

It is hoped that the 1.5 million euro plan will breath new life into one of the oldest parishes in the county by providing a whole raft of facilities for parishoners - and would-be parishoners as well. This development association, in July 2004, launched a members club draw with prizes worth over €200,000 through which they hope to raise funds for their plans. The six month draw, which commences in November 2004, has over 1000 prizes up for grabs including the Star Prize of a €100,000 villa in Spain or €80,000 in cash.

Members of the development association are setting out on a county-wide ticket selling mission in the coming weeks in the hopes that the fantastic prize pool will be a big attraction to punters. It is hoped that money raised in the draw will fund the association's plans which will take a couple of years to realise. The association wants to clear the entire cost of the development within five years.
